Understanding Behaviours: Encouraging the Development of Healthy Relationships Between Children and Supporting Adult with Sea to Sky Behaviour

In this workshop you, caregivers and educators, will be provided with an introduction to understanding why your child or student behaves in a particular way. As you begin to understand how behaviors are learned, you will gain insight on where your child’s behaviour is coming from and how to support the development of self-regulation skills.

In this workshop, a few concepts you will learn are:

  • Why behaviour occurs
  • Environmental factors that contribute to behaviour
  • Behaviour as communication
  • 3 term contingencies: A tool used to support the development of healthy relationship between the child and supporting adults.

The techniques shared in this workshop are commonly and effectively used in promoting positive behaviour change in our learners of all ages! Come and learn how you can enhance growth and learning opportunities for children and youth.

This workshop is a partnership between the Pemberton & District Public Library and Sea to Sky Behaviour & Learning.

Registration is required! RSVP Below!
