A representative from Work BC Employment Services Centre will be at the Pemberton & District Public Library on Thursday afternoons between 1 pm – 4 pm. Drop-ins welcome. No appointment necessary, please bring a copy of your current resume with you.

Howe Sound Women’s Centre 

A support worker from the Howe Sound Women’s Centre Society will be at the Library every Thursday from 2 pm – 4:30 pm. Drop-ins welcome. No appointment necessary.

Are you feeling unsafe in a relationship? Need a safe place to stay? Are you wondering if you or someone you know are experiencing abuse? The Howe Sound Women’s Centre services include:

          • Safe Housing options in Pemberton, Whistler & Squamish
          • Children. Youth & Family Programming (PEACE Counselling)
          • Sexual Assault Response & Prevention
          • Homeless Prevention Programming

Sea To Sky Community Services

A representative from Sea to Sky Community Services will be at the Library every Thursday from 3 pm – 5 pm.

They will be available to answer your questions about the social service programs and resources available in the community such as the Food Bank, Homeless Outreach & Prevention, and Better   At Home. To learn more visit their website.

Pemberton Welcome Centre Settlement Services Drop-In

Do you have questions about EI, BC Hydro, MSP, immigration, visas, or any other questions about living in Canada or you would like to connect with other newcomers?

The Pemberton Welcome Centre’s Settlement Worker will be at the Pemberton Library on the second and fourth Thursday of every month from 1 pm – 3 pm. The Settlement worker is also available for in-person appointments at the library on Mondays from 1 pm to 3 p.m.

This is a free, friendly, and professional service funded by the government of Canada and the Province of BC. Settlement services are available FREE to all immigrants and newcomers to Canada.

You can drop by to speak with the Settlement Worker, no appointment needed. If you aren’t available during these drop-in times or if you have any questions about this service, contact info@welcomewhistler.com for details.
