FreeMt Meager: an update with Veronica Woodruff
Join us for a talk with Veronica Woodruff summarizing the restoration project at the Capricorn Creek landslide site at the base of Mt. Meager.
The Capricorn Creek landslide occurred in 2010 and was the largest ever recorded in Canada. The landslide debris has been eroding and has had significant effects on the Lillooet River and the downstream communities of Pemberton and Mt. Currie. The project has required significant partnerships and innovative approaches to improving habitat and ecosystem function.
