Oral Storytelling Workshop with Yvonne Wallace

Do you have a story to shout from the rooftops? A personal tale to entrance and delight? Are you curious about how to spin a great yarn and have people hanging off your every word?

Join us for an oral storytelling workshop with Yvonne Wallace from Lil’wat Nation, to discover how to tell your own personal, entertaining story in the oral tradition.

YVONNE WALLACE (Ucwalmicw) is from the Lil’wat Nation and a graduate of Humber College’s Theatre Acting program and holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Capilano University. She has written three plays: Smothered Sweetly, The Last Dance, and útszan, a play dealing with language reclamation and her own progress in language fluency. She teaches ucwalmicwts to other adult learners at the Ts’zil Learning Centre. She’s currently writing 7 Misconceptions of a Half-Breed Mother, a tragicomedy about the public-school system.

This event is brought to you in partnership with the Whistler Writers Festival.

Registration is required! RSVP below!
